Ever since I jumped on the iPhone bandwagon a year ago, I often wonder how I lived without one. Being from the old school (the era of beepers and pay phones), I was very much anti any electronic device that quadripled as a phone, music player, television and computer. After I discovered the beautiful world of Apps, I don't think I can go back!
My latest simple gal app find is Task Me Out, an organizational tool for busy people.
First of all, if you are a visual person like moi, you would appreciate how this app is designed:

Once you've added your tasks by pressing the "+" in the right hand corner (super easy), you can categorize the task as "Important/Unimportant" and whether it is "Due Soon/Due Later."
What's great about Task Me Out is the fact that you can add links (as shown above) to your to-do's as well as schedule pop-up or e-mail reminders. Tapping "Task Me Out" will bring a random task to the front of your screen.
The downside of this app is the fact that you may feel a little overwhelmed when organizing your huge tasks in the "Big Pieces" section. Personally, when it comes to planning long-term goals or something that demands some real attention, I need a bit more space. Also, I don't find the "Stats" section quite useful - unless you want to keep track of how well you complete unimportant versus important tasks.
All in all, Task Me Out is pretty useful if you just need a place to stay on top of important dates/reminders, such as birthdays, paying bills, dinner/drinks with friends, etc. So far, so good.
I usually avoid paying for any apps, but at $1.99, I truly feel that this price is more than a bargain. I kinda enjoy adding daily tasks and creating to-dos since it's so user friendly. Also, since it's so easy to view your pending tasks, I find it to be really motivational as well.
